When an electric stove won’t turn on, ensure the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the oven is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, then some other part of the oven will have to be replaced. The cause of the problem might be the infinite switch, surface element, igniter or bake and broil element.
A stove or burner or oven that doesn’t produce heat doesn’t do much. An oven will not heat when there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. Your burner does not fire up if an element breaks or when the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We know how to fix these common issues in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.
It is safe to assume the control panel on a stove is broken if the timer or program functions don’t work. If that’s the case, we know how to replace control panels on GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on control boards and replacement parts we install for this type of stove repair service.
You need a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be because of a broken thermostat or sensor. Our technicians know how to identify the reason for the problem and fix it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.
A reoccurring stove problem is when an igniter glows but does not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We determine whether we can repair these parts or if we need to replace the parts.
Newer self-cleaning ovens sometimes have door issues often. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door does not open up and then we complete the necessary repair so we can correct the issue.
